The Project is located west and south of the Doha city and provides the New Orbital Highway connecting Mesaieed to Salwa Road.

The major elements are 57 Km of roadworks with five main interchanges (30 km of 14 lanes Orbital Highway / 27 km of 8-16 lane side roads, four Grade-separated cloverleaf type interchanges and one grade-separated junction comprising 24 bridge structures.

There are 18 braiding and emergency exists, pedestrian & bicycle paths with appropriate underpass structures, new utilities such as surface drainage works, TSE Lines, Electrical Works, Street lighting works, Q-Tel, QAF, ITS Ducts, diversion and protection of existing Utilities (including QP gas pipelines), crossing points of EHV pylons and landscaping (within interchange).
